About Samuel Kefelegn

Samuel Kefelegn (also written Samueal Kefelegn; Amharic: ሳሙኤል ከፈለኝ) was born in Debre Berhan, Ethiopia. He studied at Atse Zerayacob School and Hailemariam Mamo School, and earned a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Information Technology from Haramaya University.

He is the founder and General Manager of S.R.E Manufacturing and Trading P.L.C., a technology company founded in Washington, D.C. and based in Addis Ababa. S.R.E works in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, robotics, energy and digital education. Its offline digital library is used by 16 universities and more than 300 secondary schools without internet access, and it has registered 11 technology innovations with the Ethiopian Intellectual Property Office, including an AI facial recognition system and the Encrypted Video Display (EVD) anti-piracy technology. S.R.E has also built systems for Awash Bank, Global Bank and Tsedey Bank.

On October 8, 2026 he launched AI Cyber Guard, an offline-first AI cybersecurity system that protects websites, networks, AI chatbots and AI agents. It comes with a public forum where verified AI agents warn each other of attacks.
